I read this book in one day. Abby Wambach is an Olympic gold medalist we all know from the US Women’s Soccer team. What I didn’t know is her story isn’t the cookie cutter image that’s portrayed in the media. Prior to her DUI, I thought she was just another dedicated super human athlete that lived and breathed soccer. That sacrificed everything in order to achieve greatness. That is partially true, but she did all of that while battling demons many of us have faced.
